in the stream

sometimes we make cookies in the clouds

and laugh so hard, the ocean herself pauses to listen

other times we pass in the street without a trace of recognition between us

something or somewhere….another time and space

but the sky remembers us well

as does the golden wheat swaying in dazzling, liquid sunshine

the stars wink and turn on the oven

somewhere in Africa a near-to-bursting cacao tree begins to giggle

lovely sun, sea, birds, earth, sky

giggle softly, peek

 

through starlit curtains
